Meet Bob Draijer – World Record Skydiver & Expedition Leader

Few skydivers in the world possess the experience, passion, and pioneering spirit of Bob Draijer. With more than 21,000 skydives completed across six continents and over 40 years in the sport, Bob has built a reputation as one of the most accomplished demonstration and expedition skydivers in the world.
Bob began skydiving in the Netherlands with a group of friends during the early years of the sport. As skydiving evolved from a niche activity into a professional discipline, Bob dedicated himself to mastering every aspect of it. He became an instructor, tandem pilot, demonstration jumper, organizer, and expedition leader, specializing in complex and challenging jumps that few others would attempt.
Throughout his career, Bob has organized and executed skydiving demonstrations in stadiums, festivals, beaches, city centers, remote wilderness areas, and highly restricted landing zones. Precision landings, water jumps, helicopter exits, low-altitude demonstrations, and special-event skydives became his specialty. Nothing was considered too ambitious if it could be done safely and professionally.
Together with his wife Joëlle, Bob has spent decades traveling the world in search of unique skydiving destinations and extraordinary cultural experiences. Their passion for adventure has taken them to some of the most remote and spectacular locations on Earth, where skydiving serves as a gateway to meeting people, exploring cultures, and experiencing landscapes from a perspective few ever see.
Among Bob’s most remarkable achievements are skydives over the Arctic Circle in Greenland, jumps directly above the Equator in Ecuador, and expeditions across some of the world’s most remote regions. In 2024, Bob organized and led an expedition team that completed what is believed to be the first sport skydives in Greenland, including establishing Greenland’s first formation skydiving record. (United States Parachute Association)
Bob is also recognized for having completed skydives in 62 countries, making him one of the most traveled active skydivers in the world. His extensive international experience has exposed him to virtually every type of aircraft, terrain, climate, and jumping environment imaginable.
As founder of ParaDemo, one of the Netherlands’ most experienced professional demonstration skydiving organizations, Bob has delivered thousands of successful demonstration jumps for major sporting events, festivals, television productions, and corporate events. ParaDemo’s achievements include more than 20,000 successful skydives, operations in over 50 countries, and over 40 years of professional experience. (ParaDemo)
Today, Bob brings that same spirit of exploration and professionalism to Nepal. From the towering peaks of the Himalayas to the stunning lakes and valleys of Pokhara, he is passionate about sharing the magic of flight with adventurers from around the world.
Whether soaring above the majestic Everest region, floating beneath a parachute over Pokhara, or introducing first-time jumpers to the thrill of freefall, Bob believes skydiving is more than a sport—it is a way to experience the world from an entirely different perspective.
